Repeat rows 2-7 until your scarf reaches desired length, ending on Row 4.

Length:
Suggested length: 90”
For an infinity scarf, 30” will wrap once around the neck (like a cowl), 60” will wrap twice, and 90” will wrap three times.

Changing colors:
Like the 6-Day Kid Blanket, you have options for changing colors. Changing on different rows changes the entire look of the blanket.

For defined stripes, change colors after row 5 and again after row 6.

“Snowflake Effect” 2-Chevron Scarf by Valerie Snyder Chando Kowalski

For the “snowflake effect,” highlighting the granny stitches and creating a snowflake-shaped texture, change colors after row 2, and work rows 3-7 and then row 2 of the next repeat in the same color. Change colors again before you repeat row 3.

For a hybrid of these two effects, work all rows of the pattern in a single color, then change after row 7.

Edging
When turning, some crocheters have found that their edges curl. Chaining 4 instead of 3 may help if you tend to have tight tension on your chains. A row of sc down each side can also help to alleviate some curling.

If you are going to edge, I suggest working into the chains and dcs, rather than around them. I have a YouTube video showing how I do this (below).

If your edges do not curl, this scarf looks good without an edging.

Finishing
Tassles look great on each point of the scarf.
You can also seam the ends together for an infinity scarf.
